Valentine’s Day at City Winery

This Valentine’s Day, share a special evening with your love at City Winery. From the “King of Newgrass” in the venue, to Chef Kristin Beringson and Beverage Director David Mensch’s expertly paired restaurant menu, and Brad Cole’s Acoustic Circus in the Lounge, there’s sure to be a happening for you and your loved one.

Spend your Valentine’s Day with City Winery and Grammy Award winning multi-instrumentalist Sam Bush. He doesn’t seem old enough to be a musical legend. And he’s not. But he is. Alternately known as the King of Telluride and the King of Newgrass, Bush has been honored by the Americana Music Association and the International Bluegrass Music Association. In the venue, Sam Bush Band will provide a romantic evening of music, and enjoy dinner from our concert menu – no need to rush through dinner on the way to a show! Doors open at 6, and the show starts at 8. Click here for tickets and more information!

Join us for Chef Kristin Beringson’s 5 course prix fixe menu! Prices are $80 per person for dinner, and $30 per person to add our sommelier curated wine pairing. Get a sneak peek at the menu here! Reservations must be confirmed 48 hours in advance and can be made by calling 615.324.1010 or by clicking here to visit OpenTable.

In the Lounge, Brad Cole’s Acoustic Circus returns for the second month in a row. Acoustic Circus is a musical variety show, created and curated by singer/songwriter Brad Cole. The idea is to create an evening of totally unexpected entertainment: more of a variety show, collaborations, interpretations and artists outside of there comfort zone. Featuring performances from Cole as well as Angel Snow, Will Kimbrough, and more, this late evening show is a great nightcap to an evening of romance. With doors at9:30 and the show starting at 10, it’s the perfect setting for a glass of wine or cocktail before calling it a night. Purchase tickets here!

Celebrating a milestone, City Winery NYC poured its one-millionth glass of wine on tap. To help commemorate this moment, Founder & CEO Michael Dorf toasted City Winery with the legendary John Oates at his show last night at City Winery.

Over 300 guests raised a glass to toast New York’s first urban winery and intimate music venue. With wines served on tap, there are no supplies (cork, label, foil, bottle, boxes) to purchase, receive and store. As a result, waste is reduced and the finished product is much greener than through a traditional bottling system.

That translates to:

1 million glasses = 5 million ounces = 39062 gallons = 16714 cases = 200,568 bottles not used = 298 pallets of wine not used = 12.5 truck loads of empty glass not used
