The Traditional 2018 Wedding Trend | Private Events with City Winery Nashville

satcher_wedding_0135

City Winery Nashville’s talented Private Events team is always searching for the latest wedding trends to incorporate into our rental spaces. Events Manager Ryan Walters is head over heels for the traditional, high class look. Below, she’s broken down her top 3 reasons why this design trend is currently her favorite. Enjoy!

Currently, I’m loving the return to wedding tradition: tuxedos, classic colors, formal attire, and elevated dining! Years ago, when barn and boho designs began to trend, this classic theme was driven out of inspiration boards out of need to be thrifty. I love the ethereal look of sunshine, reclaimed barn wood and earthy hydrangeas. It’s soft, feminine, and romantic. But, it seemed for so long, this was the only option. Not anymore! Now, with economic recovery brides are able to get creative and now there are more options.

#1. Putting yourself first!

To me, the return to classic tradition shows me brides are in a place of comfort and financial security. Job security and a growing strength in our economy have created the opportunity for brides to say, “I want this, I deserve this.” I love this confidence in our clients!

#2. Simplicity is timeless!

Personally, I’ve always been a sucker for simple elegance. My style icons are incredible ladies like Audrey Hepburn and Jackie O. I love clean lines and neutral colors with a bold contrast. It’s graceful and mature, photographs well, and can stand the test of time. Oh, and don’t forget the hint of gold! A little bit of sparkle goes a long way.

#3. Luxury Guest Experience!

I’m a total foodie with the heart of a servant, so I love that this traditional trend is bringing back the plated style of meal service! We’ve the opportunity to craft delicious hearty dishes in our event spaces, incorporating seasonal products and bold flavor profiles. By serving to guests in a plated manner, we set those in our care at ease, creating the opportunity for our staff to engage and anticipate needs with a personal touch. Guests are able to fully consume the day’s experience, not just their delicious filet paired with a bold Cabernet. At City Winery Nashville, it is our mission to ensure everyone leaves raving about the food, the drink, and most importantly, the love they felt on the couple’s special day!

City Winery’s Commitment to Equal Access

City Winery is a champion of equality at all levels. When it comes to the Americans with Disabilities Act we are happy to comply with the ADA standards such as elevators, ramps, and lifts throughout our various spaces, with ease of access to our bars and seats.
We have proudly held benefits for Meals on Wheels and a variety of not-for-profit advocacy groups.  Our policy has always been, since we have reserved seating, to allow any customer access to any and all seats. We provide prompt suggestions for seats that may easier for those with specific needs.

It recently came to our attention that our online seating chart was not clear enough regarding which seats were ADA compliant and we immediately worked to rectify.
We deeply empathize with the challenges differently-abled patrons might face in other venues or elsewhere, and we were happy to make these improvements to our ticketing software to provide more informed access to all our guests.

You may notice certain seats noted for ADA access on our interactive floor plan. If you currently hold any of those seats and have any questions or concerns, please reach out to our concierge. We will never ask ticket holders to prove their need for any seat or additional accommodation. We hope to have you join us soon! Cheers!
